Two questions settle most ceramic coating decisions in Mount Sinai: whether the work is right for your car, and where it gets done. A coating is worth it if you are keeping the car a few years. Selling in three months? A polish and sealant present nearly as well for far less. On the second, Mount Sinai is 20 minutes from Medford — so you have the full range: mobile, the shop, or pickup and dropoff.
What Mount Sinai does to a car
Cars parked under the old trees collect sap and bird droppings in volume. Droppings are the urgent one — acidic, and they etch in hours in summer heat. Salt off the Sound and sap off the trees attack north-shore paint from two directions, which is exactly the case a coating is built for.
Sap and droppings are chemical attacks, and chemical resistance is exactly what ceramic coating provides.
Locally that plays out along Route 25A and Mount Sinai Harbor , and around Cedar Beach. Those are the roads and places the cars we work on in Mount Sinai actually spend their time, and it shows in what we find at the walkaround.

Ceramic Coating in Mount Sinai — questions
Do you actually cover Mount Sinai?
Yes. Ceramic Coating is performed at our shop at 266 Middle Island Rd Suite 7, Medford, about 11 miles from Mount Sinai. You can bring the car in, or we can pick it up from Mount Sinai and return it when the work is finished and cured.
How far is your shop from Mount Sinai?
About 11 miles — call it 20 minutes door to door. We are at 266 Middle Island Rd Suite 7 in Medford, near LIE Exit 64. Traffic on Route 25A can move that either way.
What is the difference between Level 1 and Level 2?
How much correction happens underneath, and how many layers go on top. Level 1 is an enhancement polish at 40–60% defect removal plus one layer of CSL, for 2–3 years. Level 2 is a full multi-step correction at 80–90% plus CSL and EXO V5, for 5–6 years, and adds wheel faces and all exterior glass. On swirled paint, Level 1 locks the swirls in.
Does a ceramic coating prevent scratches?
No — this is the most oversold claim in the category. It resists light marring and chemical etching, not rock chips, keys or brush-wash swirls. For chips you want paint protection film.
Do I still have to wash the car?
Yes. A coating makes washing easier and less frequent, not unnecessary. Skip it for months and contamination builds on top — then people conclude the coating stopped working.
